L&I Proposes Hike in Salary Threshold up to $84,000!
The Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) is changing their employment rules for Executive Administrative, and Professional (EAP) workers. The EAP determines which salaried employees in Washington are required by law to receive overtime pay, minimum wage and paid sick leave.

Why it Matters
The set of L&I draft rules proposes to tie the salary threshold to a range of 1.5-3 times the state minimum wage, which is $42,000 – $84,000 annually! To view the pre-draft rules, click here »

What You Can Do
L&I is hosting several feedback sessions where the public will have the opportunity to review and comment on the pre-draft version of the rule language. If you would like to attend one of the sessions and provide public comment, please contact BIAW Codes and Regulations Manager Al Audette at 360-352-7800 ext. 105.
