What is your job title and what does the position entail?

Applications Engineer. I provide support both remote and onsite for customers, project installs, lab testing, prove outs etc.

2 really great years.

Tell us about you

I’m 28, graduated from Tennessee Tech with a degree in mechanical engineering, I am married to an awesome Civil Engineer and we have two girls: 18 months old and 3 years old, and they are the best part of my life.

What do you like best about working at ACS so far?

I like the wide variety of products and applications we get to work with- everything from automotive to the food industry, and I get to work on robotics, cameras and controls. Where else do you get to have this much fun? 

Can you tell us a little about your background and how it helps you in this position?

My background is in power electronics and robotics- when something is not working, I am always ready with the oscilloscope!

What are some key lessons you have taken from your career thus far?

The simplest solution is generally the best solution, even if it is not as fun!

Describe some of your hobbies – what do you like to do outside of ACS?

My hobbies are very similar to my work, I use devices and software such as Arduino, Raspberry pi, Node red and Python to make home automation products. I fly High performance model helicopters for fun, and I use my pilot’s license to get in the air at every opportunity.

What’s your favorite place in or near Spring Hill?

Anywhere outdoors, the more remote the better.
