The Road Less Traveled

This Sunday we will kick off a new series in worship called This Is Us. This four-week series will serve as the backdrop for a discussion of stewardship in our church family. Now I know what you are thinking. Stewardship! Ugh! Just be honest and tell me you want me to give...

With that said we need all our college students names and address for a special gift we are going to send out. All names and address are needed by October 17th. Please email Rachelle with your students information.

Wednesday, October 24 at 6:00 pm
Save the date for an evening of fun at Aledo UMC's Trunk or Treat!
Hay rides, car decorating contest, bounce house, games and fun! Come early for a pizza dinner at 5:00 ($1/slice). This is a community event, so invite your family and friends!
Manna Room Items Needed

Every week, our Manna Room provides food for families in need in our community. We are currently running low on the following items:

* Tuna/chicken helper
* Crackers (in sleeves) and cornbread mix (ex. Jiffy)
* Oatmeal (in canisters) and cereal
* Spam or other canned luncheon meat

Thank you for your faithfulness in helping feed our hungry neighbors!
AUMC Golf Cart

As a result of a generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous, Aledo UMC is now the proud owner of a four-passenger electric golf cart. The donor intended the vehicle to be used to extend our hospitality to the farthest reaches of our parking lots on Sunday mornings.

With the donation of the golf cart, we are a huge step closer to making that dream a reality. But now we need drivers. So ladies, gentlemen, if you would like to donate a few minutes of your time on Sunday morning to help shuttle worshipers to and from the main building, email Pastor Lee at [email protected]. We will have this ministry up and running as soon as we have folks behind the wheel.

Caregiver Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed to help in the Nursery through 4-yearold classrooms. Times needed are 9:00am service and 10:00am Sunday School. Monthly, once a month, twice a month or on call positions available. No outside prep needed. Come have fun with us. Please email Barbara Leevy to sign up!
Did you know... Aledo UMC has an online directory?

ACS is our church database that is available to our members.  You may visit our website and find the "Log In" in the upper right corner.  To log in, start with the email address the church has for you, then follow the prompts.

On the Go Devo

Sometimes life keeps you away from church on Sunday, but that doesn't mean you have to miss out.  Our weekly ON THE GO DEVO keeps you talking about what your church family is talking about, even if you can't be here.  You can subscribe to have the DEVO delivered to your mobile device each week by texting ONTHEGO to 68398.

Are you taking advantage of electronic giving?
When we join the church, we pledge to support the life and ministry of the church with our financial gifts. That can get complicated on those weeks when we can't be here as the offering plate comes around. But through electronic giving, you remain faithful to your membership vows, even on those weeks when life takes you elsewhere. It's easy. It's safe. And it benefits both you and your church family. Setting it up is easy and only takes a few minutes. Contact Shari Birchell at [email protected] to set up an automatic transfer from your checking account. Or go to aledoumc.org/give to use your credit or debit card.
