4/20/20 Update
May 1st Tax Payments

At this time, the State of NJ has not permitted municipalities to change the May 1st property tax deadline or extend the grace period beyond the statutory ten(10) day maximum. If the state permits either of these changes, the Township will review and act accordingly.

  • Property taxes due May 1st may be made by mail, online, or in the drop box located outside the front door or east side entrance of the Municipal Building.
Masks for Seniors
A Morris Township resident has donated masks for our seniors. If you are age 60 or over and need masks please fill out a request. If you are a member of our Senior Club and already put in a request please do not submit another request. Age verification may be required.
A confirmation email will be sent to the requester with an expected drop-off date. Masks will be dropped off by a Township employee in a ziplock bag and left either in your mailbox or on your front porch. Questions? Please contact us at 973-407-1938 or avoli@morristwp.com

Do Not Flush Anything Except Toilet Paper
We encourage residents to continue disinfecting your environment to prevent the spread of COVID-19, however we ask everyone to be especially mindful of how to properly get rid of disinfectant wipes and other disposables.

Toilet paper is the only product safe to flush -never flush disinfecting wipes or other non-flushable items (paper towels, sanitizing wipes, gloves, old rags, etc.). Products labeled “flushable” could still block pipes and jam up treatment plants even if they swish down your toilet. So, trash it. Don’t flush it.
Recycle Coach

Littering and improper disposal of germ-bearing items can undo our community's efforts to contain viral germs, prevent the spread, and flatten the curve.

So, please consider viewing Recycle Coach's website or app ( Apple Store / Google Play ) for up-to-date information on proper & safe disposal of all trash items. (i.e. cleaning clothes, facial cleansing pads & cloths, facial tissues, latex gloves, used napkins, used paper towels, wipes, face masks, mop sheets, and personal protective equipment)
Mental Health Resources
The NJ Department of Human Services operates a toll free “warm line” which is a resource for people seeking mental health service. The warm line is activated during events that impact the mental health of New Jersey residents. The warm line is available 24 hours and has language access; (877) 294-HELP (4357). NOTE: The “warm line” does not replace 911 and is not used to report emergencies.
