Dear Parents,

The month of October's Gospel Value is Community. The word community is defined as a feeling of fellowship shared with others. When thinking of time spent together in fellowship, our Annual Family Movie Night came to my mind. This SCSS community event starts our school year off and was a joyful time for everyone.  The sound of our school children laughing and sitting with their families and friends was a wonderful sight to see and warmed my heart. The amount of support from our school families that were sharing in this fun and excitement was amazing. You could actually feel and experience the true sense of the community in the air.

Quote from Pope Francis:

"May nothing keep you from growing in friendship
with God."

We share friendship with God when we grow in our friendship with each other. Being together as a community in our faith and in our lives helps us become closer to God. As we continue to grow in our friendship within our SCSS family, may we also bring this closeness of friendship to our Lord through prayer and in the celebration of the Eucharist.

Faithfully Yours,

Miss Giaquinto

Special Visit From Our Very
Own BeeKeeper!

Mrs. McCloat's Pre-K4 class is working on the letters of the alphabet.  Last week they explored the Letter Bb
and learned about bees.

Mrs. Turner visited preschool and talked with the children all about her honeybees and how she takes care of them.  Mrs. Turner brought in some of the
honey that her bees made.
