We are halfway through fall semester

Congratulations to all involved, as the academy has crossed the semester mid-point! It is hard to believe that one quarter of the academic year is complete.
  • Mid-term progress reports went home with 3rd through 12th grade students this past Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • The comprehensive K5 to 2nd grade reports will go home soon, once the one-on-one assessments are completed.

  • The first parent "coffee" meetings in grades 7-10 have already been helpful in making mid-semester and mid-year adjustments. Please note the schedule and reminders for the other grades levels.
Good News!
Our top priority is discipleship ministry at Lake Pointe, which is constant challenge to keep straight, as academic expectations for college mount. We would rather have a student biblically grounded in thinking, and morally straight in decision-making, than to assist students to make A's while moving apart from Jesus.

Nonetheless, there is an academic part of why we do what we do, and this week, a parent shared a success story. A recent graduate who struggled some with English received a returned early, English course paper which earned a high A and compliments. We compose a lot, so that the heavy writing in college can be accomplished with less stress.
