Jambo, watu wazuri!
( Hello, good people!) It's Tanzania Sunday! A day set aside in our calendar to celebrate the love of God that gives us brothers and sisters around the world and partners in Tanzania. Come see the brightly colored and beautifully textured fabric from Tanzania decorating the altar and sanctuary.  Come hear the musical witness of our brothers and sisters from the Minneapolis Swahili-speaking Lutheran congregational choir.  Come taste Tanzanian snacks and hear some of the experiences of our very own Jan Cockburn and Bill England and the story of Pastor Andrea, Pastor of the Minneapolis Swahili-speaking congregation who has just come back from a visit to Tanzania.  As a Christian, wherever we go we have family.  Come and get to know some of our global family better.
It just might change your life.

From our friends in Tanzania at Mtera Lutheran!
Pastor Msigwa, from Iringa, sent his greetings on behalf of folks in Mtera and Migoli.

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM YOUR CHURCH COUNCIL

"Give Back to Pay It Forward" is a celebration of St. Paul Lutheran Church's 150th Anniversary. St. Paul Lutheran has had a rich history over the last 150 years and we are looking at continuing that legacy well into the future. As a result we are challenging the entire congregation from, July 29th 2018 through the end of the year, to participate in a matching contributions initiative.

Several members of the congregation have generously offered to match any funds given that are above and beyond the regular weekly giving by the remainder of the congregation.

In order to have your contribution matched, please use your preferred method of donating (envelope, bill pay, online giving), but remember to clearly note that the donation is for "Matching Funds".

As the year progresses we will continue to update the congregation on the success of this initiative.
Check us out.  We're on a Mission of
Sharing Christ's Love With Joy!
