COVID-19 Response Program
Donate today to Michael Magro Foundation’s special COVID-19 Response Campaign. Make a difference NOW for Long Island families in crisis.

Having a child battling cancer is difficult under the best of circumstances. When a child is diagnosed, one parent usually resigns from work to be the primary caregiver. Losing one income is
frightening for those who were just getting by on two. Deciding which bills to pay each month is all-too-common.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, these families are in crisis. But you can help!

Your gift will help MMF support these families!
A gift of:
  • $50 will feed a family of 4 dinner following a chemo treatment.
  • $100 will provide transportation to/from treatment PLUS dinner that evening.
  • $250 will provide one prepared meal for a family PLUS a gift card for a groceries delivery to feed them for the next week.
  • $500 will pay the utility bills for a struggling family for one month.

The outside world is in great flux, but these children are still very sick. Their families need our help now, more than ever.

Donation of Phone Chargers and Ink Pads
to NYU Winthrop Hospital
"As always, you continue to be our “fairy god mother”! We are so blessed to have you and the organization in our lives! In the midst of chaos I know we can always can count on you to make things happen!

The chargers were a big hit, all of the floors needed them and it helped immensely in our efforts to keep loved ones in touch with our patients! I cannot express how important these were as many people did not have their own and with no visitors allowed it was near impossible to keep the phones going!

Also, the ink pads help us in our effort to offer the families we work with a way to feel connected after their loved one passes. I cannot fathom what this must be like for these families not being able to say goodbye or comfort their loved ones before they pass away. When appropriate, we are taking thumbprints and packaging them for the families with the information on how to make a jewelry keepsake, if they choose, with it. I think it is a special way to keep these families connected and we will be including this in all of our Memory boxes moving forward, they have been so well received!

As always, thank you, thank you for all that you do for us and the families we work with!

- Nicole, Director of the Child Life Program at NYU Winthrop Hospital
