Cake: Making End of Life Planning a Piece of Cake
Planning for the end of your life is probably not high on your list of things to do right now. In fact, you probably don’t want to think about it at all. The idea of death makes many of us squeamish and uncomfortable, so we put off even thinking about it. This is where Cake comes in. The Boston-based digital health startup aims to make planning for the end of your life as easy as, well, you know...Cake. Their application makes the uncomfortable comfortable by organizing everything from your finances to your funeral arrangements in an easy to manage online platform.

VRHealth and Oculus announce partnership
The collaboration, which was announced at Oculus' Connect 5 developer event, will see Massachusetts-based VRHealth using the Oculus Go and Oculus Rift to provide pain management for birthing mothers, for cancer patients during chemotherapy and for those suffering from anxiety before and after surgery. The idea is to use VR to transport people to more positive environments with "fun activities."

VRHealth isn't just planning to offer environments and experiences that are designed take the patients' minds off their current situation. It's also going to use artificial intelligence and cloud-powered algorithms to produce a whole host of insightful data that can be used by hospitals and doctors to adjust treatments. Humana to Launch Digital Health and Analytics Center in Boston
Humana announced they will establish a center for digital health and analytics in Boston known as Humana Studio H in Boston’s Seaport. The new center will focus on pioneering new products and services that will be developed for use across the nation, according to the company. The company expects to employ as many as 250 individuals at this Boston location within the next five years. To help lead this effort, the company has named Heather Cox to the newly created position of Chief Cigital Health and Analytics Officer, reporting directly to Humana President and CEO Bruce Broussard. In September, PULSE@MassChallenge formally rebranded as MassChallenge Health Tech.
