October Giving Items
Giving items for the month of October are Mac n Cheese for the Mission of Hope. Your donations may be left at the back entrance near the Welcome Center. Thank you for your generosity.
Notes of Gratitude
Mariah and I would like to thank our church family for your generosity and thoughtfulness as we prepare for the arrival of baby #4. We feel beyond blessed to be part of such a gracious and giving community.
On behalf of Exit X Mission Team and youth, I would like to thank everyone who attended or donated to our pizza fundraiser last Sunday. We raised just over $400 toward our 2019 mission trip. These mission trips are not possible without your support.

Trunk or Treat
SUMC is excited to host a trunk or treat on Sunday, October 28th, 12:00 - 1:30 at the Shueyville Community Center parking lot across the street from SUMC. If you would like to be a part of this event, there will be a sign-up sheet in the lobby of the church. If you have questions, you may contact Mike Jones.
Crop Hunger Walk
Crop Hunger Walk needs you! This year the walk is Sunday, October 14th at 1:00 pm. It begins at Ely Park and will follow the bike trail.
Save the Date!
This year our Christmas Program is going to be a little different. Our youth will be joining our younger children for a performance of A Star Is Born. Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 23rd, at our 9:15 a.m. service in the Family Life Center.
Fellowship Hosts Needed
Please consider becoming a Fellowship Host one Sunday a month after the 8:00 or 9:15 service or on the 5th Sunday of the month when they occur. Please say YES to Sheila Stepanek and contact her at [email protected] or by phone at 319-538-6750. You may also contact the church office.
