Greetings from Deputy Vice Chancellor & Chief Diversity Officer Patrick J. Sims
Patrick J. Sims Deputy
Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion
Dear Friends, Colleagues and Community,
It's that time of year again, when fall is upon us and the leaves start to change and the excitement of campus in full mode takes over. We're inviting you to share that excitement by coming back to campus to reconnect for our Multicultural Homecoming Reunion Celebration on October 19 and 20. Please RSVP today for an array of events.
The DDEEA is hosting a major event of the weekend with Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison, our premiere sponsor. "ReUnite: The ReUnion Experience" homecoming concert was curated specifically for UW-Madison's multicultural homecoming audience to bring a soulful cabaret of live performances by talent from across the nation along with an outstanding showcase of campus and local talent. Diversity Forum looks at data interpretation
Please register today for the 2018 UW-Madison Diversity Forum, Beyond the Numbers: Relationships, Retention and Reality on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. Our keynote speaker will be Talithia Williams, Ph.D., a pro-fessor, statistician and specialist in data spatio-temporal structure.
Madison365 and The Ho-Chunk Nation invite you to join Wisconsin's most influential leaders of color in business, government, education and the nonprofit sector for two days of discussion, networking, professional development and planning for the future Wisconsin's communities of color.
More than 260 people attended the Faculty of Color Reception, an annual tradition to introduce newly hired faculty and announce recently promoted faculty of color. It was an opportunity to network while celebrating UW-Madison's faculty growth and achievements.
