Sparking Change for Stronger Nonprofits
(and Communities!)
Donors of unrestricted gifts place their trust in Connecticut Community Foundation to identify and address pressing community needs . Thanks to them, the Foundation is able to provide nonprofit organizations serving Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills access to important tools and knowledge they need to be more effective and efficient, build their skills, serve more local residents, and make more lives better in your community.

This year, the Foundation has introduced an exciting capacity-building tool for local nonprofits: Catchafire , a national online platform that connects skilled volunteers with nonprofits that have a broad range of needs, from finance to human resources to marketing and much, much more. Catchafire volunteers provide pro bono professional services to complete projects important to each organization’s growth—and to helping your community thrive.

Below are two stories of Foundation grantees whose community work has been ignited through Catchafire. Read them to see how generosity is sparking real change!
