Shontel Wright Joins Georgia CASA Staff as New Impact Director


We welcome Shontel Wright as the newest member of the Georgia CASA team! Serving as our Impact Director, a newly created leadership position, Shontel will lead Georgia CASA's overall marketing and evaluation strategies and generate funding in new areas. She will also support Georgia CASA and the CASA network by expanding opportunities for both new and enhanced external partnerships with broader audiences to include professional groups, associations, and other organized supporters.
 
Shontel most recently worked with the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council as a Program Director for the Child Abuse and Community Program Unit, administering $18.2  million in funding for victim serving organizations, including CASA. She has over 18 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector and state government assisting victims of violent crimes.  She has been a national advocate for crime victims' rights and while working with the Georgia Department of Human Resources, developed and implemented training and technical assistance programs to strengthen victims' rights and services 
 
In addition to her extensive experience as both an advocate and funder/grant-maker, Shontel brings both heart and passion to this work. Her admiration for advocates is ever-present as is her genuine enthusiasm in being a champion for the CASA network.
