Meet Gina Hathaway. 
Having traveled many places with her family, she hails from New Jersey. Gina was raised in a Greek Catholic Church  where you are baptized and confirmed at the same time. She retired from our preschool after teaching for 22 years. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren. Say hello to Gina.

We have begun collecting 2019 Calendars for the Louisiana War Veterans Home. Any Calendars you may receive in the mail as "freebies" that you are not using, please bring for the LA War Veterans Home. They enjoying keeping up with the day!

DAY SCHOOL NEWS FOR OCTOBER

TAILGATE PARTY
Mark you calendars for St. Patrick's Tailgate Party/Fundraiser on October 21st at 2:00PM, Saints kick-off is at 3:00PM.  While the grown-ups are enjoying football, the little ones will be having fun playing carnival games, building crafts, and showing off their Halloween costumes.

We are pre-selling tickets to this event in order to have accurate counts for food, beverages, and CANDY. Look for ticket order forms to come home this week. Please return your ticket form with payment before October 10th. 
Each $5 ticket covers a hamburger or hot-dog, chips, dessert, and a drink.

The day will also include a 50/50 raffle ticket drawing, door prizes, and a silent auction. This event will be tons of fun and a great chance to fellowship with one another. Cannot wait to see everyone there!


FALL CARNIVAL & FALL CLASS PARTIES
We will hold a carnival during school hours on Friday, October 26th. Please send your child dressed in their favorite costume along with a change of clothes (for after the event). We ask that each child brings a bag of individually wrapped candy by Tuesday, October 23.
If you would like to volunteer to run a carnival booth, please see the front desk! Notes regarding class carnival schedule and class party times will be sent home closer to the event. 

The shape for October is TRIANGLE.
The color for October is ORANGE.
WEEKLY SEWING CLASSES

A new project is starting in the sewing class on October 11th!  We are making a drawstring backpack style purse.  New students are welcome.  6:30 pm on Thursdays.  Call Teresa for a list of supplies and to reserve space in class.  (601) 807-2448.

Please join us for an afternoon Pet Blessing Service on Sunday, October 7 at 3:00 P.M.

COLLEEN'S MEETING

The women of the church will meet on Saturday, October 6 at 9:00 A.M. in Martin Hall for brunch and fellowship hosted by Marie Nezianya and Reva Cook.  Come dressed to work as the ladies will move to the church where they will do some heavy duty cleaning of the church.  Bring your favorite cleaning utensils so we can clean and polish the pews, dust the baseboards and windowsills, vacuum rugs and kneelers and more.   
Many hands make light work and no experience is necessary! 

BATON ROUGE ECW DEANERY MEETING 10/13/18

The Colleens of St. Patrick's will be hosting the BR ECW Deanery Meeting on Saturday, October 13 from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.  Father Ashley will be the ECW Speaker.

OCTOBER WREATH CLASS

REMINDER: If you've registered for the upcoming Holiday Wreath Class, it will be held Thursday, October 18 at 6:00PM in Martin Hall. If you registered, you should've received an email from Jan Noble regarding your choice of décor and a confirmation. If you haven't, please contact Jan further at: janoble54@cox.net

MEN's COFFEE GROUP

All men of the church are invited to enjoy coffee and fellowship every Thursday at 8:30AM at  Jett's Country Kitchen, 4760 Old Scenic Hwy, Zachary 658-8820.

THE ZACHARY FOOD PANTRY

St. Patrick's - Help the Zachary Food Pantry (ZFP) feed families in need!

The following are helpful tips when donating: Please donate items before their expiration and prime ripeness, ZFP accepts monetary donations if you prefer not to shop, and ZFP accepts more than just dry goods-they also accept Fresh bread, fresh fruits/vegetables, infant formula, diapers, and personal products. 

Suggested donation items are:  Peanut butter, jelly, canned fruit and vegetables, beans, canned meat, ramen or other dry pasta, spaghetti sauce, rice, canned soup, cereal, and 100% juice.
 
Please drop your ZFP donation items in the basket inside St. Patrick's chapel door, in the ZFP barrel located in St. Patrick's Parish Hall, or drop your marked monetary donation in the offering plate labeled "Zachary Food pantry".


THE CITY OF CENTRAL FOOD BANK

St. Augustine's - Help the City of Central Food Bank (CFB) feed families in need!

Since we are actively participating in helping to meet the needs of the local food bank, please see the weekly "needs" list in the back of the church.
