google it: encourage patients to use online test to determine prediabetes risk

prediabetes test More than 1 in 3 adults in the United States have prediabetes, and 90% don't even know they have it. Could your patient be one of them? There is an easy way for patients to find out if they or a loved one may have prediabetes - just Google it!

When someone Googles either "prediabetes" or "type 2 diabetes," they'll see a health card with a public health notice from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the right side of the screen. Click on the link to take the one-minute Prediabetes Risk Test.

If they receive a high risk result, they can print or email the risk test results to share with their health care provider who can confirm a prediabetes diagnosis. The risk test page has information on how to join a lifestyle change program offered through the National Diabetes Prevention Program to help them make important lifestyle changes.

Encourage your patients to take the test today. Find the risk test via Google or take it here .
