Happy September and New Year! It's been an exciting year as private yacht charters have become more popular and more varied than ever before.

As you know, Familiarization (Fam) Trips are essential to all of us in the travel business; staying on top of industry trends is key. As more and more yachts are locating to Asia-Pacific, I'm making another trip to South East Asia - Asia vu, as it were. This time I'll be in Thailand in October, sailing out of Phuket on 62' catamaran offering dive adventures called IN THE WIND. (More about her below in Exotic Destinations.)

This newly-popular region will gives travelers more options in private yacht travel. Last year when I toured Cambodia and Vietnam on the luxury yacht AQUA MEKONG (right), I saw the popularity of these destinations and all the yacht charters and services growing around them. Yes, it's a crazy rich Asian yacht charter market!

The Caribbean is absolutely open for business and is a very popular holiday destination. Off-season specials include giving thanks on board your private yacht with crew on blue Caribbean waters!

Skip the turkey fixings (or not since your crew will prepare any dinner you desire) and head to the Caribbean using  off-season   air and yacht specials.
 
Hotels are making a slow recovery in St. Thomas and the British Virgin Islands; many will not open until 2020.  It is ideal to vacation on a floating hotel.
