Yesterday 118 people representing arts organizations across the spectrum attended a Grants Workshop offered by California Arts Council (CAC) and hosted by Arts Orange County at the Pacific Symphony/OC Music & Dance center in Irvine. If you were not able to attend, you can find information on CAC's grants programs here, which have now opened for the season. More than $21 million in grants will be awarded. Arts Orange County is offering one hour of free customized grant writing consulting to any ArtsOC member wishing to take advantage of this service. Contact Rick Stein for details. CAROL SINGLETON
OC Fair & Event Center has appointed Carol Singleton as Supervisor of Heroes Hall Veterans Museum located at the fairgrounds in Costa Mesa. A resident of Huntington Beach, Singleton served in the U.S. Army from 1983-86. She will be among those sharing her stories of life in the military in tomorrow evening's free public reading of the VOICES: Veterans Storytelling Project, a collaboration of Arts Orange County, Heroes Hall, and Goodwill OC's Tierney Center for Veterans Services.
OCSA Hosting national Arts Schools Network Conference

Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) hosts more than 250 arts school leaders and arts educators who will explore this question and others at the national Arts Schools Network (ASN) Annual Conference on October 23-26 in collaboration with University of Southern California (USC), Chapman University, Disneyland Resort and Segerstrom Center for the Arts. This year's theme, "Arts in Motion" focuses on the intersection of dance and film technology as an example of cross-disciplinary collaboration.
