THURSDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2018
  • Students will be on an activity schedule Fri., Oct. 12 due to Celebration Friday, celebrating the end of the 1st quarter.

Activity Bell Schedule

  • 7th grade second quarter nine-week classes begin Monday. Schedules will be given to students during advisory class today. Students need to look at their schedule and make sure they know where they are going Monday. Also, students could have a change in their lunch time if they have a 4th period nine week class.
  • Picture retakes and club pictures will be Fri., Oct. 19. Students must meet one of the following requirements to have their picture retaken. Students cannot have a retake just because they did not like their picture and want a better one in the yearbook.
    • If student was absent on picture day.
    • If student purchased a package but did not like the picture. They may bring their package back a do an even trade with the new picture taken during retakes.
    • If student did not purchase a package but would like to purchase one with a new photo. They must have money in hand.
  • 2019 Track Tryouts will be Tues., Nov. 6 and Wed., Nov. 7, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. You must attend BOTH days! Tryouts will be held at the FHS Track, located at Ramay Junior High School. Students must have a current physical turned in to Coach Large in B4 before the tryouts. Appropriate athletic attire/shoes are required. Athletes currently competing in fall/winter sports, and athletes enrolled in 1st or 7th hour athletics DO NOT need to try out. Bake Sale Tomorrow!
Quick reminder that the PTO Bake Sale is tomorrow, Fri., Oct. 12. Students may purchase items before school in the courtyard or during advisory. Don't forget to send money with your students!
Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent/teacher conferences will be held at Woodland on Oct. 23 from 3:45-6:45 p.m.
If this time frame does not work for you, you may contact your child's teacher directly to make arrangements for a different time. Teacher email addresses are [email protected]. We also have a directory online at woodland.fayar.net.
Conferences will take place in each individual teacher's classroom, and you can schedule appointments using the google form that is linked below. 
While parent teacher conferences are not a requirement, this is a great opportunity to visit with your student's teacher. If you have any questions about conferences please call the main office at 444-3067.

PTO Shirts For Sale

There's still time to order a Woodland sweatshirt! PTO is  also offering a second chance to order Woodland spirit tees which are available in both short and long sleeves.

Orders must be placed by 7 p.m., Oct. 24. Use the link below to order.  Shirts will be delivered the first or second week of November.
Items Still Needed
There's still time to donate to the clothing and hygiene drive! Items can be dropped off in front of the school or at the front office. Donations are due Oct. 16.  There is still a need for clothing and hygiene items for students, especially for our boys.  Guidelines for donations to the drive can be found at the sign-up link below.

Flu Shot Clinic

The Health Department will be giving flu shots to students Mon., Oct. 29. If you want your student to get a flu shot, please have them stop by Nurse Scott's office to pick up a flu shot form. You must complete the FERPA form AND the flu shot consent form and sign them both. Forms must be returned by Fri., Oct. 26.
Purple Dog Food Truck Tour Coming to Woodland

The bulldog-themed FPS Purple Dog Food Truck will be touring schools across the district this month and making a stop for street food-inspired lunch at Woodland next Wed., Oct. 17.

The Food Truck will be serving 100% beef burger sliders, and students can choose their own toppings to customize their meal. A vegetarian teriyaki burger option will be available at the Food Truck, or cheese pizza will be offered in the cafeteria. 

The Food Truck lunch will be offered to students in the same manner school lunch is offered on a normal school day.
