Do less!
Sounds strange right now doesn’t it? We’ve gone from lives full of action, and involvement to staying in our houses full-time. Yet in our daily interactions with our coaching clients right now, we’re hearing overwhelm. There is so much change and unknown that it can feel really hard to manage it all.
“Small, daily improvements are the keys to long-term staggering results.”
We came across this quote in a few places this week and it summed up our message to you for this week. Now, we may not need staggering results. In fact, pretty good results will be just fine, thanks. But the point is this:
Rather than trying to change everything at once and dropping balls left and right, when we shift our focus to small things which we can keep consistent, we stand a better change of success.
Parents becoming at-home teachers
We’ve heard from parents about school-work in the home this week. We’ve heard from some that there is way too much and we’ve heard from others that there isn’t enough. We’ve even heard from teachers at home teaching their kids that this is tough.
This is brand new work for so many parents and it’s being done at the same time as learning to work from home and in a time of great uncertainty.
As you begin to make a plan to help the student(s) in your home, what is something small that you can improve upon each day? What is one thing that you can do? Start there and make an improvement. Once it is working well, find another small thing. Bite by bite, we will get through this challenging meal.
