Recently, there have been some statements passed to our property owners regarding the topic of how the confidential member information that you provide to CSA is handled.
CSA would like to take a moment to provide clarification on this topic.
Community Services Associates, Inc. is a mutual benefit not-for-profit organization. CSA's mission is to “protect, maintain, and enhance the resources of Sea Pines Plantation for the benefit of the Sea Pines Community.”
Per Community Services Associates, Inc. Board Policy and per South Carolina Non-Profit Law, our members of CSA (property owners) are entitled to review our membership list.
Our Corporate Record of our membership list contains the deeded property owner name and the notice of mailing on record for that property owner. This is what is provided to members of CSA when they request a membership list.
Members of CSA at
their option
may provide to CSA additional confidential information like phone numbers or email addresses, so that CSA may contact that member as it relates to CSA general business purposes only. These optional points of contact information provided to CSA by the member are considered confidential and are protected as such.
CSA takes the protection of our members personal information very seriously. CSA exists to serve you, our members, and we intend to continue protecting your information.
CSA is exploring the option of a community directory in which CSA members (property owners) could elect to “OPT IN” to share their personal information with other members. CSA will be including the topic of a community directory in an upcoming community survey to our property owners, this survey will be conducted later this Fall. The questions asked on the survey related to a possible community directory will be asked in order to gather the communities’ feedback to determine how much support there would be for this type of effort.
