Dear Parents,

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week !

If ever there was a time to show appreciation for our hard-working educators, this is it...see article below for some good suggestions (hint: notes of appreciation are most welcome).

To replace live events cancelled due to COVID-19, we've begun offering a new virtual Parent Education Webinar Series, featuring local and national presenters.

For information about the coronavirus, please refer to the COVID-19 Parent Resources tab on our webpage . Click here for helpful articles, videos, online resources, crisis hotlines, and more.

This week, we're excited to offer a virtual event with  Ned Johnson , founder of PrepMatters and co-author of The Self-Driven Child , "The Long View: Helping Kids Gain a Sense of Control During COVID-19" (Wednesday, May 6 ).

In addition, we're hosting the first in a series of Spanish-language webinars with
Alnardo Martinez , Child Mind Institute (Friday, May 8 ). Alnardo will present a Spanish version of "Stay Calm: Managing Stress and Anxiety During COVID-19."

Here is a "sneak peek" at virtual events scheduled for April/May:

  • Tiffany Hoang, co-founder of CircleUp Education
  • Ana Homayoun, author of Social Media Wellness
  • FCD Prevention Works, "Healthy Adults for Healthy Kids: Modeling in the Time of COVID-19" (Spanish Version)
