Save The Date!
Celebration of the Arts is our biggest fundraiser of the year. This year we will bring the rich cultural heritage of Argentina to our Celebration with a Milonga! This exquisite annual event features a four-course seated dinner, live music, fine art, live and silent auctions, and local quick draw artists creating unique works to auction off at the end of the night. Last year's Celebration was sold out so mark your calendars now and stay tuned for when tickets will go on sale!
To recognize the artists who support the Emerson, we will have a special exhibition in the Jessie Wilber Gallery leading up to the event. We are currently seeking original art donations for this year's auctions and Celebration of the Arts Exhibit.

Little HeARTs
Wednesdays, 10-11am
This class is now FREE for Emerson members! This art education class is especially for 2-5 year olds
. Each week features a project using different themes and materials for you and your little one to work on together. Demonstrations, images, books, and music are all used to help direct the art work and inspire creativity.
Drop-ins are welcome, however pre-registration is suggested to ensure your spot in the class.

Fall Life Drawing
Tuesdays, 6-8pm
Artists of all ability levels are welcome to practice drawing with live, nude models. This is a drop in class and participants should provide their own drawing supplies, however a few ponies are available (first come, first served).

Art on the Rocks
Enjoy a creative evening filled with step-by-step instruction, socializing, and cocktails! Our Art on the Rocks series switches up the medium and beverage each month for those looking to learn something new and drink something different. Classes are held the 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month at the Emerson's Art Education Classroom or the Rocking R Bar.

Way Beyond Fitness

Way Beyond Fitness provides health coaching and fitness programs for the busy professionals who struggle with fatigue and want abundant energy and focus. Way Beyond Fitness owner Shana Hogg develops a holistic healing program starting with multiple integrated assessment tools to assess dysfunction in the body. With that information, she creates individualized programs that help the body get well and stay well naturally. Her personalized programs are laser focused on you so you can reach your personal health and wellness goals no matter how busy, stressed, or overwhelmed you feel. Shana shared, " I suffered from chronic fatigue in college, hormone imbalances, and I never felt recovered from my workouts. My symptoms and health concerns continued to spiral until 2008 when I was diagnosed
with Hashimotos Thryroiditis. I was always interested in the wellness world and this diagnosis as well as my continuing health decline was the final straw. Since then, I have put my autoimmune in remission and I continue everyday to build up my health. I have now made it my life's journey to help others do the same. I am so excited to be part of the Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture. This amazing building and the individual business in it have a unique quality and energy that support creativity, entrepreneurship, and our community."

Jessie Wilber and Lobby Galleries
Lepidoptera Ceratopsidae by Louis Habeck
September 14 - November 30, 2018
These exhibits feature drawings and sculptures combining two different species - insects and dinosaurs. Mr. Habeck explores the marriage of these creatures by altering and merging their horn and frill structure as well as their decorative ornamentation. The Lobby gallery will show drawings of his unique species and the Jessie Wilber will display sculptures made from foam and resin. This is sure to be an enriching and educational exhibition integrating art, science and a whole lot of fun!

"Getting outside is good for the soul. Through my artwork, I try to bring the outside in. Using a variety of natural media, I attempt to capture a memory of nature and to recall its beauty and tranquility. I feel very lucky to be able to create art using nature's palette, and that it allows my family to get out and explore the rivers and forests of Montana." - David Lustig

| Emerson History The Emerson is a thriving arts and community center located a block from historic downtown Bozeman. The building was originally an elementary school built in 1918, attended by thousands of Bozeman youth before its closure in 1991.  |
Support the Emerson At the Emerson, we are grateful for the generous community support that allows us to serve as a vital arts hub in Bozeman. Over 250,000 people have come to the Emerson each year to attend performances, take classes, and participate in community events.  |
Volunteer with the Emerson As a community arts hub, the Emerson relies on the time, energy and enthusiasm donated by community volunteers and interns. You can get involved by becoming a docent, by helping with events, children's classes or in our office.  |
