Ljubomir (L.J.) Stambuk
was recognized by the Charlotte International Rotary Gala as a recipient of the “Global Service Award.” Stambuk, a WACA National Board Director, is recognized for his dedication and passion for promoting international dialogue and public discourse on topics of international significance to our region through the WACC’s international education and innovative global-issue driven programs and initiatives.
Thanks to
Stambuk's
long-term vision for WACC, the Council was also recognized as the 2017 Richard Vinroot Award recipient at the Mayor's International Community Awards ceremony on May 11th. This award recognized the Council’s contributions to the international community through its international education programs and initiatives.

SQCC: 2019 Summer Arabic Language and Media Program

Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center
is now accepting applications for the 2019 Summer Arabic Language and Media (SALAM) program, a fully-funded competitive scholarship program to study intensive Arabic in the Sultanate of Oman. The SALAM scholarship allows students to gain a deeper knowledge of Arabic, while becoming familiar with Omani history and culture.
The program dates are June 14 - August 8, 2019, and the application deadline is December 31, 2018. To submit an application, or for more information, please visit the
