This week in the Virtual Children's Room: a week's worth of fun programming, news about the 1,000 Books Project, and links we think you'll love.
Our 1,000 Books Project is now online!
The library may be closed, but you can still do our 1,000 Books Project from home.

We've put all of our worksheets on our website , so whether your children are looking for their next sheet to log on or you're signing up for the first time, you can print our sheets and log all of the books you've been reading while you're at home. When the library is open again, you can bring your completed sheets to the Children's Room and we'll update your child's record and give credit for all the reading they've been doing. If you haven't signed up yet, we can register your child when you visit to turn in your sheets. We can't wait to see how much progress our young readers make this spring!
Start your week off with some yoga!
What better way to start off a week of wellness than with a short yoga exercise with Joy?
This Week's Programs
This week's Use Your Brain is a favorite: a treasure hunt! And sure, the building may not be open for a library-wide treasure hunt...but our website is. Watch below as Kevin explains this week's challenge.
This week's Trivia Tuesday is presented by popular demand! The kids of Ossining most often request trivia questions about soccer and candy (this is one of the many reason we adore the kids of Ossining!) and this week, we're testing their knowledge!

It's April 1st this week, which means it's every prankster's favorite holiday: April Fools Day ! For this week's Every Day's a Holiday, Kevin has compiled a list of April Fools Day activities (since Free Lamborghini Day isn't real), as well as some articles about some great April Fools pranks that became real.
This week's I ♥ Art is about impressionist artist Mary Cassatt.

What you'll need for this week's activity :
  • White paper
  • Tempera paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Pencil or craft stick
  • Waxed paper (Note: you can use a cookie sheet instead of waxed paper. Carefully clean the paint off to make another print when you are done.)

Click the images below to download this week's activity in English and Spanish. And if you and your young artists make a masterpiece, share it with us! You can email us pictures or tag us on Instagram ( @ossiningpubliclibrary )

This week, Trish took storytime on the road and presented an amazing Mother Goose Time live from her living room! Our little storytime attendees couldn't get enough of it; click here to watch and mark your calendars for this Thursday, April 2, when she'll be hosting her next live storytime . See you over on Facebook for a morning of rhymes, songs, and bubbles!
March Madness Finals! What book will win?
We are down to our last two titles:  Freckle Juice and Horrible Harry are face to face competing for the title of Ossining's favorite Young Reader novel. Make sure your opinion counts!  Click the survey and vote for your favorite!
