Withdraws are requested by completing a paper Add/Drop/Withdraw form and submitting it to the Office of the Registrar in-person (Taylor Bldg. Matrix) or through email ([email protected]); a withdraw CANNOT be requested through MyCSI or by fax. If you are planning to withdraw from ALL courses, you must fill out a Complete Withdraw Form and meet with a Financial Aid Advisor before processing.

Cardio and Weight Training:
This class is for students with beginning to intermediate fitness levels. Students participate in weight training and cardiovascular activities to improve strength and cardiovascular endurance.
 
Barre:
This fitness based class uses a combination of postures inspired by ballet as well as other disciplines such as Yoga and Pilates.  Students use the barre as a prop to assist with balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training combined with high repetitions of small range of motion movements.  The use of light weights and mat/core work will be incorporated into the course.

ReFit:
ReFit combines several elements of fitness into one power-packed hour. While the focus is structured around cardiodance movements, toning and flexibility, strength training and stretching are also incorporated into the Refit workout.
 
Spin HIIT:
This course is intermediate Spinning class, also known as Spinning H.I.I.T (High Intensity Interval Training. This class is made up of a short period of high intensity activity bursts followed by a short period of low intensity recovery movement. All done on the Spinning bike with in thirty-five minutes followed by stretching. Spinning is a full-body, low impact, aerobic exercise that can help strengthen the heart, lower blood pressure, boost energy, burn off excess fat, tone legs and stomach, reduce stress and tension, and boost peak performance.

To assist students in addressing legal problems and issues, the College of Southern Idaho provides a free legal clinic. Once per month, local attorneys are available to assist students in obtaining proper resources, preparing pro se documents, and explaining legal rights and processes. 

The fall 2017 schedule has one final legal clinic which will be held from 3 - 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2017. To schedule an appointment students should call the Student Affairs Office at 208.732.6224.

Students are also encouraged to use the Physicians Immediate Care Center on Falls Ave which is across the street from the Main CSI campus.

The College of Southern Idaho's long-running Ski Swap is scheduled for its 48th annual event under the CSI Outdoor Recreation Center. The sale will be held Nov. 17 and 18, 2017, in the CSI Recreation Center gym.

Anyone interested in selling used skis, snowboards, or other winter gear is encouraged to check their equipment in from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Rec. Center or from 12 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17. The CSI sponsors will oversee all sales and take a 20-percent commission plus a $1 tag fee for the ORC Student Programming on each item that sells during the swap. Longtime ski swap business partners Claude's Sports and Idaho Water Sports will be at the event selling new equipment at specially reduced prices, as well. 

The traditional early-bird admission price of $5 per person will be in effect from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday Nov. 17. Attendants to the early-bird special will receive a 10% discount on all merchandise and the best selection of pre-owned equipment! 

The swap will continue with the regular admission price of $2 per person from 6 until 10 p.m. that evening and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18. Unsold gear submitted by community members must be picked up by 7 p.m. at the CSI Rec Center. All unclaimed used gear will be donated to the CSI ORC for future ski swaps.

$7,500 Scholarship 
T he Barry Goldwater Scholarship  covers eligible expenses for undergraduate tuition, fees, books, and room and board, up to a maximum of $7,500 annually, for students entering their junior or senior year. These students need to have outstanding potential and intend to pursue research careers in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering.  Many college majors are eligible for this scholarship. Eligibility specifications and application information can be found at the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program webpage. 
 
The application deadline is  December 8, 2017.

If you are a student interested in applying, now is the time to get started.  The application process is somewhat extensive.
 
a.     There is a pre-application form to fill out.
b.     There is an application form to fill out after your pre-application has been approved.
c.     Past and current college transcripts need to be collected.
d.     Proof of US citizenship, or a Letter of Intent to become a US citizen, needs to be provided.
e.     A two page essay needs to be written.
f.      Three online recommendation letters need to be written; at least two of which need to come from faculty members.
