Carver Center Updates
Dear Friends,

Carver Center’s spring benefit was originally scheduled for tonight. While we can’t be with you in person, we are with you in spirit. You are always present, helping to support Port Chester residents in need.

Thank you for helping us to address food insecurity, which has become a top concern for families in our community. With your assistance, Carver Center is meeting the increased demand for services and has quickly adapted operations to help protect clients and staff.

I filmed the following video last Friday, when we distributed food to 117 Port Chester families, feeding 471 adults and children. This week, we served 190 families on Wednesday, feeding 753 individual residents in one day.
We couldn’t do this without you and we couldn’t do this without our community partners: Caritas, The Salvation Army of Port Chester and Feeding Westchester. We are pooling resources and coordinating activities to make sure we serve as many families as possible without duplication of services.

Caritas is sourcing food donations and hot meals from local restaurants and businesses and is also cooking meals for distribution at the Carver Center.

The Salvation Army is delivering groceries and meals to home bound residents.

Carver Center Market is acquiring food and distributing fresh produce, and shelf stable groceries from the Center's playground parking lot.

Feeding Westchester is providing thousands of pounds of food that we pick up and distribute.
Thank you for caring. Thank you for supporting. Thank you for helping to meet the needs of our neighbors. We are all in this together and are stronger for it.

Stay well and stay safe,

Anne Bradner, CEO, Carver Center
