Honeywell's popular Searchline Excel open-path Infrared gas detector, a staple on offshore 
oil platforms around the globe, now has Bluetooth connectivity to speed up maintenance 
and reduce downtime, thanks to an updated app for a smart junction box (model: OELD) 
with local display that attaches to the detector. 
 

"The search for a connector that can be tied off in multiple directions is over," said 
Judd Perner, product development specialist at 3M Personal Safety Division. "Many 
of the hooks on the market can be a nuisance to open where the operator's hand is 
placed right in the opening creating a pain point. The Comfort Grip Connector opens 
and closes easily and comes with a hand guard so knuckles are protected while making 
a connection."


CleanSpace Technology, a global manufacturer of powered air purifying respiratory 
protection, released its CleanSpace2 Power Unit Respirator Trial Kit designed to provide organizations in the construction industry with high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter 
protection to help meet the OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1153 Respirable Crystalline Silica in 
Construction and OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry regulations.

NIOSH's new, free software platform can track and monitor emergency workers in a myriad 
of situations.

 
The funds support New York City's anti-terror and emergency preparedness equipment and programs including the New York City Police Department's Critical Response Command, 
New York City Fire Department's active shooter response training, and radiological detection 
tools.

be presenting at the A+A show, which opens its doors in Düsseldorf from 17-20 October
