COVID-19 Funding opportunities

If you are a scientist at an academic institution currently working on a COVID-19 related project and in need of funding, we invite you to apply for a Fast Grant. Fast Grants are $10k to $500k and decisions are made in under 48 hours. If we approve the grant, you'll receive payment as quickly as your university can receive it.

To understand and begin to alleviate the impact of COVID-19 on those with diabetes and related disorders, MDiabetes and its partner centers — the Michigan Diabetes Research Center (MDRC), the Michigan Center for Diabetes Translational Research (MCDTR), and the Michigan Nutrition and Obesity Research Center (MNORC) — request applications to address the impact of COVID-19 on and improve the care of those with diabetes and related disorders.

As a member of the U-M Center for RNA Biomedicine, are you working on
a COVID-19 related project?

Let us know and we can help share and promote your work within our community and beyond. The research can be at any stage --new project, work-in-progress, or published. Contact: Elisabeth Paymal

The U-M Office of the Vice President for Research created a  repository to index coronavirus projects  in which our faculty are involved. Projects that use U-M resources, such as the IRB, animals or wet laboratories, are being reviewed by the OVPR COVID-19 Research Committee, and those PIs are being asked to identify their efforts in a central index. If you are engaged in a project that does not involve such resources, and would like OVPR to index your coronavirus project on its COVID-19 portal to increase awareness and foster collaboration among researchers, please complete the following form:

The Center for RNA Biomedicine is now offering the support of our communication specialist, Elisabeth Paymal, who can collaborate with you on press releases and/or blog articles with visuals etc. of your upcoming publications. MORE INFORMATION

Once you have an article accepted, please let us know.
We are looking forward to helping promote your research!

Dr. Mats Ljungman, University of Michigan, co-director of the U-M Center for RNA Biomedicine

The University of Michigan Center for RNA Biomedicine regroups over 150 faculty members and their labs across seven Schools and Colleges on the Ann Arbor campus. We're pleased to feature these outstanding scientists in our weekly news.

BioArtography is now collecting digital images for its 2020 collection, which will debut at the Ann Arbor Art Fair in July 2020!

The BioArtography program, a unique blend of art and science, captures the microscopic beauty of cells in their environment, affording the public a deeper understanding of state-of-the-art biomedical research at the University of Michigan. The goal of our program is to provide support for training of the next generation of scientists, while simultaneously informing and engaging the public about important new developments in health and disease.
