Familial Hypercholesterolemia

This FH Awareness Day, we reached over 32 million people with messages of awareness, education and support for familial hypercholesterolemia (FH).

As you know, FH is an almost invisible condition that we are trying to make visible. By connecting with your local community, sharing messages of FH awareness in social media, or participating in the Race for FH, you helped make an impact.

One of our favorite annual global events, the FH Awareness Day Tweet-a-thon, brought together over 450 people online and reached 13 million people with facts and information on #KnowFH.  Check out this video to see more of the action:

FH Advocate, Joe Farrington, recently celebrated the 1 year anniversary of his heart attack by raising awareness for familial hypercholesterolemia during the #Race4FH. We are so motivated by his dedication and commitment.

"I was thrilled when I was welcomed into the Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) family. Going through the Advocates training program opened my eyes to the serious problem we face raising awareness and saving lives. Many people are like me and have gone under-diagnosed and under-treated for FH throughout their life. Education, early detection and treatment of FH will save lives one family at a time!"
