Country Club Christian Church Children and Families Ministries

Pearl and Stanley enjoy nature when playing in their yards.
If you have photos of your family worshiping and serving please send them to children@cccckc.org!

Greetings CCCC Families!

Yesterday for Story & Song time we read a book If Peace Is...  With beautiful images and creative ideas it helps us think about peace - not just the absence of noise or the calm of one's body, more of an active peace.  One of my favorite lines is, "Peace is a promise we make one another."  The author goes on describing this promise ...to love and protect and care for each other.

In this time when we may be seeking solid ground and ways to make it through days that have too little or too much in them I find those words comforting and compelling.  I invite you to jot that down on paper and post it where you can see it in times when you might need to take a deep breath.  Perhaps as you gather for a meal you can ask each family member to share some way they kept the promise of peace in their day - sharing a way they cared or loved another.

Missing all of you!   Catherine & April

Please let us know of ways we can be supportive of your family at this time! We will Face Time or Zoom with April and Catherine.  Or we will drive by and wave from our cars.  We really miss seeing you!

Welcome May
Chalk the walk at Country Club Christian Church

If you and your family are out for a hike, or bike ride or whatever stop by the church and pick a spot in front of the church to leave a May greeting.  Many people go past the church daily on walks, runs, etc. so let's greet them with well wishes, colorful drawings and spring time chalk pictures.  Buckets of chalk are by the south entrance under the canopy (along with wipes to sanitize).  Grab a bucket, pick a spot in the front and let your creative spirit get to work.  Chalk buckets will be out May 1 - 8. Take a photo and email to children@cccckc.org or text it to Catherine or April.

Serving in our Community

Our children, youth and families have packed 1,944 meals for Cross-Lines Community Outreach to be distributed to families in the Kansas City area. If your family would like to sponsor and pack some meals, find out  how  here. Children 8 and up are welcome to help.
The Mueret family had so much fun, they went a second time!

The Dakan family helped prepare the yard for gardening at church.

This Week in Worship

Until further notice we will be gathering for worship via live streaming only. We invite you to worship by clicking  here  (scroll down to where it says Live Streaming) during the time you would normally attend worship, at 9:01, 10:00 or 11:00 a.m. The worship service will be the same at all three times, and will be a blending of our worship styles, including music, scripture, a moment for children, communion, prayer, and sermon. We invite you to have a bit of bread and juice ready so that we may share in communion.

Many of you have had the chance to send a note or picture to one of our church members who may be isolated and unable to connect with others much these days.  If you have not and would like to connect - let April know and we will get a packet to you.    If you have been corresponding let us know how it is going.  We are hearing members reaching back out to their pen pal family - truly building connections!! If you did send one note or picture and would like to send another but do not have the address - we can get you that information.
