New Mary Lyon taking shape

Construction on Mary Lyon is progressing, with the classroom and administrative area taking shape in the middle of the construction zone. Contractors built forms and footings for that area and poured concrete on Wednesday.

They're also digging trenching for utility pipes and electrical conduit feeds. Elevator pit and foundation wall work is planned to continue through the end of November.

Take a look at what the site looks like now.
A concrete  pump truck is used to spread the concrete mix to the various areas of the pour.

A closer look at concrete pouring into a footing.

Doing some of the finishing work after the pour.

This Austrian black pine from the old Mary Lyon will be incorporated into the new site.
