Everyone knows the above quote attributed to Albert Einstein is true. Which begs the question, why do we humans keep doing the same things while keeping our fingers crossed hoping it will be different this time?
Here’s why…
Because at our core, we human beings are creatures of habit. We are drawn to what we know, what we are comfortable with. This is true even if what we know and are comfortable with are ineffective and destructive. This is one of the most common traits of human nature. However, so are the emotions of jealousy, anger, and bitterness native to the human soul. We don't recommend those, do we?
Having said all of that, we don’t have to continue to go to the same places we know are not getting it done for us.
Today, this week and moving forward, let us choose to rise above this aspect of human nature and find new paths which are more effective and beneficial to yourself and all those in your life even if it's difficult or challenging.
