We're now the Philadelphia/Wilmington Chapter of the TMA!

First, I hope everyone is enjoyed the holiday season and is getting ready for a wonderful 2018. We have a lot to report. The Chapter Board has voted to change our name to the Philadelphia/Wilmington Chapter! This is in recognition that almost 30% or our members work in Wilmington; and the name better reflects who we are as a chapter. Other names considered, but making the cut were Philmington and Wiladelphia.

We have a number of new Board members, too. But first, I'd like to thank the following members for their service on the Board: Claudia Springer of Reed Smith LLP, Regina Kelbon of Blank Rome LLP, John Buck of DW Investment Management, David Cramer of Gordon Brothers, Michael Moore of Wells Fargo NA, Wayne Weitz of H2C Restructuring, Steve Logue of USI Insurance Services Corporation, Joe Pellerite of Baker Tilly and Jeffrey Hampton of Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP. Jeffrey continues his service to TMA as Secretary on the Global Board.

Now, I'd like to welcome our new Board members: Monique DiSabatino of Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP, the Honorable Jean FitzSimon of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Randi Hershgordon of Context Business Lending LLC, Rachel Jaffe Mauceri of Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP, Inez Markovich of Spruce Law Group LLC, Lauren Berret of Baker Tilly, Ronald Gellert of Gellert Scalli Busenkall & Brown LLC, Douglas Leney of Archer & Greiner PA, Harry Giacometti of Flaster/Greenberg PC, and the Honorable Christopher Sontchi of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court District of Delaware.

On the committee front, Neil Gupta of SSG has big shoes to fill as he
takes over the Community Service/Charitable Activities from Daniel Stella of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Jennifer Kirwin from Deloitte Advisory Services LLP and Rachel Jaffe Mauceri from Morgan Lewis Bockius LLP will head up TMA Nework of Women. Gary Scharmett from Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young LLP will guide the crack team of Joseph Iannuccilli of M&T, Gregory Tallman of PNC Business Credit and Daniel McGonagle of Wells Fargo Capital Finance. We still have Silver sponsorships available for 2018. If you want to participate, please reach out to Joe, Greg or Dan by January 12th. Lastly, Evan Miller of Bayard PA will head up TMA NextGen in 2018.

We have new faces and a few returning ones, in officer roles for 2018:

Vice President at Large - Mark Felger of Cozen O'Connor
Vice President of Programming - Josef Mintz of Blank Rome LLP
Vice President of Marketing and PR - Steve Kortanek of Drinker Biddle
Vice President of Membership - Monique DiSabatino of Saul Ewing
Secretary - Harry Giacometti of Flaster/Greenberg PC
Treasurer - Stanley Mastil of Gavin/Salmonese LLC

Linda McDonough of 50 Words and Mike Goodman of SSG are our Immediate Past Chair and Chair, respectively.

I hope to see all of you at our events in 2018.  Remember, our first
event is the NOW Casino Night on January 31, 2018.
