Jefferson St. Farmers Market
The market is in the 300 - 500 blocks on Thursday from 4:30 to 7 PM with fresh produce, baked goods, food vendors, crafts, free horse drawn trolley rides, and more. The Jefferson St. Farmers Market is organized by Downtown Partners, Inc. and supported by Two Rivers Bank & Trust.

Main Street Challenge Grant for Downtown
Downtown Partners is seeking project proposals for the state funded Main Street Challenge Grant. The maximum grant award is $75,000 with a minimum 1:1 cash match required. The project must be downtown; work already begun is not eligible for funding. For application information, go to

TIGER Grant Public Input Session

What: The Miles and Memories 5K Run/Walk, which supports Great River Health System-Hospice, has a new date this year. Previously held in November, the run/walk will now be held in October. The fundraiser offers participants the option of a 5K run/walk or a 1-mile stroll.

New Schedule of Performance for Burlington Civic Music Association
What: This summer's flooding and resultant damage to Burlington Memorial Auditorium has forced the Burlington Civic Music Association to delay the debut of its 90th season of artistry on the river. The new schedule of performances is: Le Cirque Esprit on October 15, The Four Italian Tenors on November 4, Fandango! on January 8 (performance will take place as scheduled at The Capitol Theater), Russian National Ballet on February 15, A Cappella Live! on March 31, Sultans of String on April 21, The Texas Tenors on May 15.
