June is Wound Healing Awareness Month!
We're excited to kick off  Wound Healing Awareness Month  or # WHAM!   to draw attention to the individuals who deal with chronic wounds on a daily basis, whether they experience the wound personally or provide care for someone who does.  
 
In addition to Wound Healing Awareness Month , we designate June 15 - June 19, 2020 as  Certified Wound Care Specialists Week . This week celebrates all practitioners certified by the American Board of Wound Management which includes Certified Wound Care Associates ®, Certified Wound Specialists ® and Certified Wound Specialist Physicians ®.

To say we are living in a strange time is an understatement. So much of what we take for granted has disappeared or changed drastically. One of these things is our reliance on numerous in-person continuing medical education programs that have always been available to permit us to maintain licensure and certification in our specialties.

As part of Wound Healing Awareness Month campaign, we are offering a free Zoom Lecture that can be used by certified specialists and associates to meet ABWM’s annual requirements for 2020. This credit is approved for the ABWM annual renewal and is not a certified continuing education credit.
