Interior Design and Feng Shui to improve the flow of positive energy
in your home or workplace, and better support you and your family.

"What you have in your home creates your story.
I want you to surround yourself with what you love-
to be able to express yourself and live in comfort."

Greetings!

Could you use a little more joy in your life? I recently purchased a new piece of art for my own home—a piece that truly resonated with me. The painting, which you can see to the left, was purchased from one of my art dealers out in Southern California. It brought my space into a higher vibration by infusing it with love, serenity, and JOY. This is a key Feng Shui design concept that I bring to every interior design project.

How can you spread the joy throughout your home? Here are a few tips:
  • Add images, colors, and accessories that help you feel more serene or bring your energy up
  • Blues and greens = calming
  • Reds and Yellows = uplifting
  • It doesn’t have to be a purchased piece of art. Try adding more photos of loved ones or drawings done by the kiddos in your life
  • Paint a room in the tone that makes you feel your best

If you want to learn more about these design concepts, try taking one of my classes (sign up below). I just wrapped up a Vision Board workshop with 30 attendees in alliance with the Feng Shui Institute of the Midwest (FSIM). The FSIM had this to say about the class: “We had a full house, a lot of activity and creative energy! Beautiful Vision Boards were everywhere! It was fun hearing about other's vision boards as well as sharing our own.” The next Vision Board class will be on October 19th - Sign up now for special early bird pricing.

I look forward to teaching more Infinite Possibilities classes as well; the next one will be in September - learn more below! Register NOW and bring a friend for FREE!

Read on for more great interior design tips; my latest projects include partial room remodels. Infusing joy into a room doesn’t have to mean an overhaul. There’s no project too big or too small - I love doing them all. Contact me for a design consultation.

Warmest Regards,
Julie Ann

Creating a vision board is a process of discovery. We all want more or less of something. More money, less stress. More romance, less conflict. More career advancement, less health worries. During this class you are going to figure out what you want more of and what you want less of.
You’ll learn more about how you’d like your home to look and feel, and how that connects with what you want for your life. At the end of the class, you’ll leave with:
• Clarity
• Creative ideas
• A fresh perspective
• Opportunities for change

Infusing Energy Into a Partial Kitchen Remodel
In with the new, out with the old...unless the old has sentimental value. You don't always have to jump into a full-scale remodel; updating only what's necessary will raise the energy of the room. Who doesn't want that fresh and clean feeling in their home, especially the kitchen?

My client, Barbro Brost, wanted to freshen up the kitchen in her Wayzata home of three years. She felt the kitchen was functional but outdated...
Simple Ways to Add New Life to a Room
You don't have to do a complete overhaul to breathe new life into a room. One of my long-time clients, Janis Klecker, has been working with me to update her home—in stages. The most recent project was in the kitchen. Klecker used to have loud ceramic-tiled floors and a house full of kids. Now with almost all of her five children out of the house, she wanted to make some changes to the sound-proofing measures she took to keep the noise down in the kitchen.
Quick Design Tip for Summer Living
If you have a sun porch and a pool like my client Barbro Brost, here’s a quick tip to liven up the space: add coziness and a fresh look with a rug and chair cushions! See the photos below - isn’t is amazing how adding those elements livened up Brost’s sun porch? Now that’s summer living!
