At Home with Miss Meg and Mr. Monkey
Miss Meg and Mr. Monkey Play a Game
Hello Friends!

How are you? What are you doing to have fun? Mr. Monkey and I have been playing lots of games. Sometimes we play board games like Chutes and Ladders . Sometimes we play card games like Go Fish . Mr. Monkey is very good at Go Fish . And sometimes we make up our own games.

Today we went on a scavenger hunt. Mr. Monkey and I worked together to build a list of 7 things to find. Then we set a timer and gave ourselves only 5 minutes to find everything on the list. Mr. Monkey found all 7 items in only 3 minutes. He was fast. I found only 6 of the things on the list before the timer went off. We had never tried a timed scavenger hunt before. It was so much fun that we are going to play again after lunch. This time, I am making a list of things for Mr. Monkey to find and he is making a list of things for me to find.

What are you playing at home with your family?

Connect with us on Facebook to see what else Mr. Monkey and I have been doing to help pass the time. While you're there, check out all the fun things we have found for your family to do. We post ideas for families at 10:00am and 3:00pm every day.

Stay healthy, safe, and well!

Smiles & BIG banana hugs,

Mr. Monkey's Scavenger Hunt
A Scavenger Hunt
You will need a paper, a pencil, and a timer
Create a list of things to find. Write the list on a piece of paper so that you can keep track of what you have found. As a family, create the rules and guidelines for your adventure. Mr. Monkey and I decided to only look for items in the playroom. We could only collect items we could easily reach and that were not breakable. Once you have your list, set your timer and gather your objects.

Here is the scavenger hunt list Mr. Monkey and I created. How many items can you find? Can you find them all in 5 minutes or less?
  •  A book with 4 words in the title
  •  A block
  •  Something yellow

  •  Something that starts with the letter “D”
