Thursday, May 21 from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m. Spring Book Discussion Series: The Road Trip. In the beginning, mythic stories featured heroes who went off on solitary journeys, where they encountered challenges that necessitated their proving themselves up to the job. The buddy story followed later, think of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, and has been a favorite of visual medias as it allows for a variety of contrasting effects. One particular subcategory of this kind of plot involves the road trip. This month's book is America For Beginners by Leah Franqui. Join us on Zoom.
