WELCOME TO RUTIZ FARMS
Our raspberry field is now open for u-pickers...the field is located inside our "hoop houses" ( those greenhouse structures located on the west side of our farm). It is a 4 minute walk from our parking lot...but well worth it if you are into raspberries. Prepare for warm temperatures inside the hoop houses during the middle of the day. Please follow the instructions at the field as to which rows to pick in . The price is $5/ pound, which is about 1/2 the regular price of $3.50/ basket for already picked raspberries at our farm stand.
Bring your own containers to pick into or use our baskets and boxes. The u-pick is available during our regular farm stand hours...Tuesday thru Friday, noon to 6 and Saturday, 10 to 4.
NEW ITEMS AT THE FARM STAND
DUCK EGGS raised by Jenny Durling ---"If you haven't tried duck eggs, you don't know what you are missing. Darling Acres eggs have the large orange yolks and wonderful flavor that come only from pastured raised ducks. Our ducks roam freely over 5 acres in rural Arroyo Grande, getting their fill of plants and bugs. They are supplemented with organic feed and produce grown right here on the property without pesticides, artificial hormones or antibiotics.
Many who are allergic to chicken eggs are able to eat duck eggs and they are unbeatable for baking and pastries. Give them a try!" We have them available for sale on the farm stand table for $6/ 1/2 doz.
