St. Pete Cleans Up
Storm debris pickup is underway in St. Pete and residents can now find an approximate schedule online at StPeteRecovers.com. The schedule will be updated once daily.

The process will take several weeks. Residents who wish to have their debris disposed of prior to their curbside pickup date can bring their debris to one of the City's five brush sites. Locations and hours can be found at stpete.org/brushsites. Additionally, residents may also place small amounts of brush and debris into the black solid waste containers.

After completing a first pickup pass, city crews will complete a second pass. If debris is not completely picked up or improperly organized the first time around, residents will have another opportunity to have debris picked up.

Here are some guidelines about cleaning up storm debris on your property:
  • Place storm related brush in neat manageable piles behind the curb. Do not place material in front of the curb or in/near the alley.

  • Please clean up any additional debris in the road in front of your property so that it will not be washed into the Stormwater system and create blockages.

  • Please do not place piles too close to the garbage cans, poles, fire hydrants, or gas lines. Piles should be as accessible as possible.

  • Do not mix brush with other items. For example, if you have vegetation and pieces of a fence that need to be removed, please keep them in separate piles.

  • Leaves should be piled neatly for ease of pickup. They should not be bagged.
Residential Curbside Storm Debris Schedule

The residential storm debris curbside pickup began Saturday, September 16. The process is expected to take several weeks. Debris collection during the last major hurricane (2004) took approximately four months and we are committed to exceeding that and setting a new standard. While crews will conduct multiple sweeps of the city, residents are encouraged to prepare their debris as soon as possible.

(Please note the schedule will be updated once daily. Those who are in a "to be scheduled" area do not need to request pickup. Crews will proactively be making their way throughout all parts of the city.)
