Special Returning Thanks Project - Donations for WMC
Our healthcare workers are on the front lines right now in this fight against the corona virus sacrificing their own health and time with family. In recognition of Good Friday (and the sacrifice our Lord made for us all), we are going to recognize the staff at the emergency room at WMC who are working hard and support them with a special delivery of treats. We are asking, if you are able, to prepare a batch of cookies this week. If you are not a baker, you could donate some apples or oranges instead. If you are a crafty person and can sew, you could also donate some cloth face masks. We ask that if you are preparing food, please follow best practices of washing hands and covering your mouth/nose as you make the cookies. Please place them, if you can, into small ziploc baggies (4-5 cookies each) so that we can attach a prayer or bible verse to the bag and so that they can be distributed individually to ER staff. The material for face masks should be washed and when completed placed in to a sealed bag. We will have a large tote (labeled Donations WMD) located at Bethel under the overhang at the Discipleship Fellowship Hall door, starting this Wednesday morning through 5pm Friday for you to drop off your donations.
