Statement of MMA President & CEO John J. Walsh in Response to the Michigan House Republican Proposal “Michigan’s Comeback Roadmap”

LANSING (April 20, 2020) —John J. Walsh, President & CEO of the Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA), this afternoon responded to the Michigan House Republicans’ “Michigan’s Comeback Roadmap.”

“Michigan manufacturers commend Speaker Lee Chatfield and the House Republicans for their leadership on a solution-oriented, risk-based approach to reigniting Michigan’s economy while prioritizing safety for workers,” said Walsh.

“Those manufacturers who have been able to operate worldwide during this pandemic have proven adept at meeting and exceeding all reasonable safety standards,” Walsh continued. “We look forward to being part of a collaborative solution in which the global manufacturing supply chain remains top-of-mind.”
