Checkmate!
Almost every public school is over by 3pm, but for thousands of local students, the learning doesn’t end. Impact100 Philadelphia’s 2012 grant recipient After School Activities Partnership (ASAP) gets started when the final dismissal bell rings. They work with middle school and high school students in more than 100 public schools throughout Philadelphia to make sure afternoons are entertaining and enriching. In particular, ASAP introduces young people to the discipline and joy of debate and chess. Read more here .
Become an Impact Volunteer!
Impact100 Philadelphia's members are the engine of our grassroots organization. Together with the working board, our member volunteers are passionate about working together to improve lives in the Philadelphia region. Volunteers help with the organization, planning, and oversight of the grants process. They also imagine and create events throughout the year, including Meet Ups, Happy Hours, and hands-on service events with our nonprofit partners.
