Entrepreneur in Residence, Houston Community College, Center for Entrepreneurship Southeast, Founder and CEO, Mueller Consultants, LLC, Silver Fox Advisor and Board Member. Ned's past experience includes Executive Vice President, Designs Anew Houston LLC, and managerial and executive positions with The Carnrite Group, GB Tech, ARINC Engineering Services and Lockheed Martin.  Ned Mueller also rose to Lieutenant Colonel serving 21 years in the United States Marine Corps.

Chief Possibilideas Guide for Level VII Resources;  Virtual Thinking Expedition Company Guide.  Thea has over 20 years' experience working with business and educational teams as well as individuals, fostering creative thinking, innovation and change.  She is a certified instructor in the Meyers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Kirton Adaption Innovation (KAI) inventory and has been using both instruments to coach teams and individuals since 1998.  She has developed and led training programs which enhance team function and improve leadership skills through the use and understanding of cognitive style in problem solving. She has guided and assisted in leading major Thinking Expeditions with organizations such as Exxon, Texaco, Shell, Lever Ponds, Halliburton, Proctor and Gamble, the U.S Navy, U.S. Joint Service Military Operations, the Swedish Institute for Management (IFL).  Her most recent work involves promoting school reform with administrators, teachers and students in HISD.

For all proposed, startup and existing business owners
who know it is time to plan now to understand the numbers that create success for their business.      
 
This workshop prepares you for the "why, how and what's next" when it comes to understanding your past, knowing where you stand now and what you need to do to analyze and estimate the numbers you and your investors/lenders need to know to back you and propel you to sustainable success.   
 
Workshop format includes entrepreneur-to-entrepreneur experts presenting in conversational lay terms, to worksheets used in round table groups, to group discussion. We'll do this three times throughout the day progressing from launch numbers, to numbers to watch and assess one year later and then numbers to plan for the next level of growth!   
 
   
There will be a funders panel as well with networking and one-on-one access for you to relationships that can seed your small business launch and growth.  Use this day to change your future!

Business Plan Competition at Houston Community College

Proposed, startup and exisiting entrepreneurs can also enter HCC's annual Business Plan Competition in the Spring. The training and mentoring offered in HCC's competition is invaluable to all contestants in refining and completing their business plans within a group of motivated entrepreneurs. The prize money is the icing on the cake for the winners! The competition is also a spring board for all contestants, because it helps these entrepreneurs tap into a wealth of resources and connections to Houston's entrepreneurial ecosystem to pursue launch and growth!
