Cross Country 2018

Greetings!

We had our most competitive meet of the season yesterday! I was especially impressed with all that have never seen a high level meet like this. You all stepped up to the Challenge!! I am sure you all noticed the blue Valley United Striders running, that was the top 5 athletes from our conference running. Storm had 14 athletes that were on the team!! We placed top 3 in all age groups!! We also placed well as a team even with the our top athletes not scoring for Storm. The 8 and under girls was the highest placing 4th out of all the teams!

A special shout out to all our turtles and rabbits, but especially to Henry Duenas and Rigo Herrera!! Rigo made sure our lead athletes knew where to go on his bike for most of the races and Henry took great care of our back athletes for all races!! We also had 3 photographers, Peter Martinez, Anthony Calderon, and Claudine Toon that have uploaded hundreds of pictures to our Facebook page! We have such great parents and it was a proud day for Storm!!

Home meet sign ups for snack stand
In 2 weeks we will be hosting our Final Championship meet of he Season at Central Park. We will be giving top 8 awards and top 3 team awards. It is a fun meet and all finishers will receive a nice medal to end the season. We will be in charge of the snack stand and we make all proceeds from the sells. We ask all families to contribute so that we do not have to purchase the items. Next week we will send out a list of items to bring. If you have athletes in more than one age group just bring the item from your oldest.

We will again need help with set-up and clean up for this meet!

This week's meet is at Crescenta Valley Community Regional Park. We have not been there in many years! It is a very fun course and we are happy to return!
