mental health
World Mental Health Day takes place on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 . Sponsored by the World Health Organization, World Mental Health Day is observed each October with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues and mobilizing efforts in support of better mental health. This year's theme is "Mental Health in the Workplace."

October is National Substance Abuse Prevention Month. National Substance Abuse Prevention Month is an annual observance that pays tribute to all those working to prevent substance abuse in our communities and focuses on raising the public awareness and encouraging communities to take action and get involved to prevent substance use. Each year families, communities, and organizations across the country come together to raise awareness about the importance of substance use prevention and the importance of investing in prevention first.
