Thank you for supporting the Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce! This bi-monthly email is sent to hundreds of members and friends of the Chamber highlighting some of the sales, specials, accomplishments, events or simply general awareness of our membership, and also shared on social media.

Construction is progressing on both blocks of 100 Avenue!

Streetlights are currently being installed from 102 Street to 100 Street, and are scheduled to be complete by the end of the month. Paving will be done on the west block from 102 Street to 101 Street in the upcoming week, dependant on weather. Line painting on this block will follow.

Paving stones are being installed on the east block, from 101 Street to 100 Street. Landscaping, tree planting, and electrical are also being done around the site this week.

Businesses are open during construction, and have front access available. Pedestrians may walk on the concrete sidewalk base.
The project is on schedule to be complete by the end of October

Every year the  GPRC Alumni/Foundatio n honours the incredible achievements of our Alumni along with GPRC volunteers and supporters who have made a difference to the success of the College and our students.
 
If you know a former GPRC student who has gone on to make outstanding contribution to their professions or their community please nominate them for one of our Alumni Awards.

The GPRC Alumni/Foundation also presents an award to a College volunteer who has made exceptional contributions of time and energy to GPRC.

If you have a deserving volunteer who as gone above and beyond to support GPRC and its students please nominate them for the:
The GPRC Board of Governors also selects a recipient for the Board of Governors Award of Distinction. If you know of an individual or group in the community that has made exceptional contributions to our community and to the advancement of higher education you can submit your nomination to the Board of Governors for its consideration.

The awards will be announced and honoured with GPRC's donors and community supporters and leaders at the annual President's Awards Luncheon on March 12, 2019.

Grande Prairie Crime Prevention along with the RCMP have launched a new program where missing persons posters are automatically distributed through the   [email protected]  email address. The participating businesses would post the information in their location and when a cancellation, or located, email comes through take the posting down. The aim of this program is to enhance the circulation of the notices so that those that are missing can be more quickly located.  Businesses involved with the program include, but are not limited to; hotels, motels, restaurants, pubs, bars, cultural centres, homeless shelters, women's shelter and other locations that missing people could show up throughout the City.
