This fall you don't want to miss....
Between services - light breakfast

Starting Sunday, September 8th from 10:00-10:40 (every Sunday) we will have light breakfast in the gym for all TruKids' families! Are you coming for 9:00 bible study and are staying for 10:45 service? Great, grab food. Are you going to the 10:45 service and want to come early? Great, come for food! This is a time to play, eat and visit.
Small Groups - Elementary Students

September 8th - December 15th, during the 9:00 service, we will have small groups for K-5th graders. During this time...
- There will be discussion about topics important to our kids (bullying, friends, respect), how the world handles them and what the bible says about them
- We will work on developing their prayer lives
We are asking that you make a commitment for your child to attend as many Sundays as possible. We are starting this with two things in mind...growth for our children and for you. There is a men's group and adult Bible Study class that meets during the 9:00 service. Please note that this is not a drop off time, you must remain in the building during the time your child is in small group. *REMINDER (from above) there will be light breakfast in the gym in-between services to fill the time before the 10:45 service (and to be in fellowship). Please talk to Carrie Yeaman if you are interested in having your children participate.

Carrie's Corner
How has your summer been? If it is anything like ours you don't know where the summer went. You know that your family DID a lot of things this summer and often those things were together. However, I was talking to a few people at church on Sunday and I have a feeling that I missed out. I missed out on my child's face as they played because they were with friends and I was visiting with my friends. I missed out on singing silly songs with my kids on our road trips because they were on their ipads and I was talking to my husband. I missed out on great conversations at night in bed with my kids because I was too exhausted from the day to lay with them for a little while. PLEASE hear me that I am not saying that building relationships with friends or talking with my husband or sleeping are not important things. What I am saying is that our kids grow up fast and the times we are spending with our kids are we DOING THINGS (filling time, going through the motions, attending more things that we can say we did this summer) with our kids or are we BEING (having conversations with them as we ride in the car, doing things that require face to face interactions, listening to their needs) with our kids.

Children are a gift from the Lord;
they are a real blessing.
(Psalm 127:3)

Let us turn our eyes and ears to our children to enjoy them!

Blessings and love,
