Dear WWf(a)C Community Members,

Although state-mandated restrictions may be lifted in phases over the next few months, we want to proceed with a plan that proactively supports both the health  and creative talents of our community members so that  no one has to be in the position of choosing their sense of safety over their desire to participate in a worthwhile and meaningful enrichment opportunity.

Out of an abundance of caution for the health and wellbeing of all, and in order to maintain the best possible experience in our adult writing programs, all adult summer classes will be held VIRTUALLY, through July 31, 2020.

Summer camps for young people are currently being transitioned to VIRTUAL CAMP EXPERIENCES, with appropriately modified schedules and activities for each age group that continue to focus on creativity and community-building. More detailed information will be provided in the next few days.

What's the good news? Women Writing for (a) Change successfully moved our in-person circles to a virtual setting in late March. We continue to make the kind of connections that people really need right now. The overwhelmingly positive feedback of current students--who are already participating in virtual writing circles--demonstrates that the quality of experience we have always provided can still happen in a virtual environment. We are still writing and we are still making community!

Keep washing your hands, keep taking care of yourself, and keep writing.

Gratefully,

Executive Director
