FRIED APPLE RINGS
CTCT-20181014_221751 Give yourself a treat this week with our Fried Apple Rings. This too-good-to-be-true dessert is two thick sliced rings of Granny Smith Apples, dunked in a sweetened batter and deep fried until crispy. Each bite is packed with a punch of tart apple surrounded by sweetness. What could make it even better? We've got the answer! It's served a la mode and finished with a caramel drizzle. Oh my goodness - can I get another!

Bread of the Week
PANE SICILIANO

We're bringing back an old favorite this week with Pane Siciliano. It is made with a combination of bread flour and semolina. It has a beautiful crust, an airy crumb (the inside of the bread) and is deliciously rustic in flavor. It's garnished with sesame seeds which is a wonderful compliment to the already delicious bread. This bread is traditionally baked on December 13 for a feast held in Sicily celebrating the bravery of Santa Lucia, and this shape is called 'Occhi di Santa Lucia' meaning the 'Eyes of St.Lucia'. *This will be the last week for Cinnamon Chip Brioche, and next week we will add Parmesan Peppercorn.
As always, we mix our breads from scratch, shape them by hand, and bake them in our big German oven, right here in our bakery on Hardin Street. We bake only with unbleached and unbromated flour and never use any additives or preservatives. Come and taste.
